Aircraft Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Windshield

A jet carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was identified in the plane's windshield, according to an official announcement which stated that Hegseth was safe.

"The plane landed following standard protocol and everyone onboard, including Pete Hegseth, is safe," a press officer commented in a social media post.

He was traveling back from a short visit to the Belgian capital during the flight.

This event does not mark the first occasion that a American defense plane ferrying a senior official has experienced equipment failures.

Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was compelled to head back to the US capital after experiencing a mechanical problem.
